We’re moving our events to meetup
We’ve been currently maintaining our postings on our blog, then emailing folks using mailchimp and then taking registrations over eventbright. Yuck. Seems like a lot of work for getting folks to a bar. We’ve setup a meetup group over at meetup.com/drinksontap. Let us know if you like this new system. We’ll keep the domain DrinksOnTap.org so you can still come here for updates.
DrinksOnTap – Android Event, August 16th
Yes! You read right. Our first Android event. After practically ignoring the little green guy for a year and a half it’s getting all but impossible to deny his presence and importance. Our first Android DrinksOnTap event will be a joint event co-organized by MobileMonday. The event will be August 16th. The night will start off at Google:

The DrinksOnTap portion will be after the google event when we walk over to Charecter’s Bar in Kendle Sq. Just a short walk from the MoMo event.
Please note that the MoMo event requires registration but the DrinksOnTap event does not. We hope to see you there.

Unity Day Boston
Local game devs Alex Schwartz and Elliott Mitchell are organizing a game developer meetup focused on the Unity3D platform, the Boston Unity Group (BUG). Their first bimonthly meeting is on June 12th. This promises to be an action-packed event, and, as required for our endorsement, there will be drinks!

This month the Boston mobile dev scene will witness a perfect storm of schmoozing. Mobile Monday, MassMobile, and Drinks On Tap will combine forces for a massive Developer’s Meetup on Jan 25th. We’ll meet at Jillian’s near Fenway. If you have a mobile app you’d like to demo, bring it along. If everyone brings an app to demo, we’ll deploy tear-gas.
